After a hard workout I refuel with a mixture of protein and carbs. This tasty, easy-to-prepare, high protein smoothie is the perfect post-workout recovery drink.
1 frozen banana. Slice a fresh banana and put it in the freezer. It's easier to blend after it's frozen if it is already cut in smaller pieces.
1 peeled orange
1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Add all the ingredients in a blender and add just enough water (or milk, or almond milk) so it blends easily.
